Husband and wife clean Los Gatos Creek Trail on daily walks
Briefly

For 18 months, Sue and Darrell Kupka, a couple from Los Gatos, have committed to cleaning up trash along the Los Gatos Creek Trail during their daily walks. Motivated by a New Year's resolution to walk daily, they have collected items ranging from iPhones to fishing poles. They often return found IDs and donate unclaimed clothes, embodying the motto "Give a hoot, don't pollute." Their efforts, rooted in environmental awareness from previous backpacking experiences, have made them familiar figures among fellow trail walkers.
The Kupkas have become familiar faces to other regular walkers, who are very supportive of their actions along the Los Gatos Creek Trail.
After noting the trash on their morning walks, the Kupkas decided to help by picking it up, embodying the motto "Give a hoot, don't pollute."
