An XL bully dog named Toretto attacked 84-year-old John McColl, who later died from his injuries. The incident occurred on February 24, 2024, when McColl entered the defendant's driveway. Despite attempts by bystanders to intervene, the dog savaged McColl and had to be shot multiple times by police. The owner, Sean Garner, admitted to possessing the banned dogs but denied ownership of the one that attacked. Evidence suggested the dog was not securely kept, contradicting Garner's claims.
