"People are taking more photos than ever but they're actually doing less with them. It's almost as if those photos go into the ether,"
"We built Retro to change that. Our mission is to bring friends closer and help you appreciate the important moments in life. The Rewind feature does that by surfacing forgotten photos and making it easy to share memories with the people who matter most,"
Retro launched Rewind, a feature that resurfaces camera-roll memories from roughly the same time last year. Resurfaced photos remain private by default and can be shared, sent to a friend, or hidden. Rewind can be accessed from the end of a row of shared photos or from the middle tab in the app's bottom navigation. A dice icon provides a random memory when tapped. The feature targets the problem of abundant, unused photos by making forgotten moments visible and simplifying sharing with a small circle of friends.
