Damian Lillard and business partners opened Honorable Mention, a luxury sports lounge in the basement of Portland's historic Benson Hotel on March 6. The venue features elegant design with vaulted ceilings, banquettes, couches, and numerous televisions displaying sports alongside black-and-white photos and videos of trailblazing Black athletes. The menu offers beer, wine, and over a dozen cocktails alongside upscale versions of classic sports bar fare and steaks. Lillard emphasized the venue's role in community building and revitalizing Portland. The ownership group includes marketing professional and restaurateur JR Duperrier, David Lucas (son of former Trail Blazer Maurice Lucas), and Moda Health president Dr. William Johnson. Honorable Mention joins two other restaurants within the Benson Hotel.
