The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia Pavilion, designed by Foster + Partners, has recently opened at Expo 2025 Osaka. It offers an immersive experience reflecting the cultural and architectural heritage of Saudi Arabia. The Pavilion aims for the highest Japanese green building rating (CASBEE S) and will operate with net-zero carbon emissions. Visitors will journey through native flora into a central Saudi Courtyard that transforms from a peaceful space to a dynamic venue for events. The design fosters accessibility and showcases the Kingdom's daily life, integrating modern innovation with traditional landscapes.
The Pavilion creates a spatial experience that echoes the exploration of Saudi Arabian towns and cities, while providing immersive engagement with the Kingdom's wonders.
We are delighted to see the Saudi Pavilion open to the public and ready to welcome its first visitors on an epic journey of new discovery.
The project honours the Saudi's architectural heritage, evokes a sense of place, and provides visitors with a glimpse into the daily life of the Kingdom.
