"On Jan. 24, a woman and her fiance allegedly caught him taking a picture up her skirt. The man confronted Sanchez, who said he was going through a hard time but fled the store when the man called police, authorities said. The Walgreens manager helped police identify Sanchez as a suspect."
"On Feb. 7, Sanchez allegedly took a picture up the 11-year-old girl's skirt as she walked around a Livermore Safeway with her mother. The girl noticed what was going on, and she and her mother called police, according to court records."
"It is evident from court filings that police are investigating Sanchez for similar alleged crimes. In one of the incidents, the alleged victim's fiance found potential other victims of similar acts on Sanchez's phone, and in the other, police identified Sanchez by comparing him to surveillance footage from Pleasanton where he was caught doing similar type behaviors."
Jose Sanchez, 46, faces two misdemeanor privacy invasion charges for taking photographs up the skirts of an 11-year-old girl and an adult woman at separate Livermore stores. The first incident occurred on January 24 at a Walgreens where Sanchez worked; the victim's fiancé caught him and confronted him before he fled when police were called. Two weeks later on February 7, Sanchez allegedly photographed an 11-year-old girl at a Safeway while she shopped with her mother. The girl noticed and alerted her mother, who contacted police. Police investigation revealed potential additional victims on Sanchez's phone and connected him to similar incidents in Pleasanton through surveillance footage. Sanchez posted $5,000 bail, pleaded not guilty, and is scheduled for court in March.
