An estimated 9 million people worldwide are affected by reduced access to contraception and sexual and reproductive health services. Clinic closures are concentrated in Africa and the Middle East, often eliminating the only local option for care. Consequences include women giving birth without skilled care, people living with HIV missing testing and treatment, survivors of violence being turned away, and rising anti-rights rhetoric opposing abortion and contraception for teenagers.
