Firefighters rescue woman trapped in small chimney in California
Briefly

Firefighters rescued a 30-year-old woman trapped in a chimney at the San Fernando Recreation Center. She was found three feet deep and had been acting erratically beforehand, leading to her predicament. Firefighters from the L.A. Fire Department's Urban Search and Rescue Team used a ladder and harness to lift her out. Once freed, she was alert and conscious, later transported to an ambulance. Witnesses reported unusual behavior from the woman prior to her rescue, including a possible connection to alcohol.
Over a dozen firefighters stood on the roof as they worked to free the woman. Eventually, she was lifted out and lowered to the roof, where she was strapped to a gurney and lowered to the ground using the truck ladder as a crane.
Witnesses say the woman was acting erratically before she got stuck. 'I could see a lady on top of the roof. She was pulling her shirt up, then pulling her pants down, just on the roof like, dancing.'
A witness said there was a half-empty bottle of tequila in the woman's backpack, though it's unclear if she had consumed any alcohol before the rescue.
'It's crazy! You would think it's a show that somebody put on, and the show is over, but it wasn't a show. It's reality,' said witness Jose Rivera.
