At that same hearing, Kennedy also said he agreed with the statement made by one of his appointees to ACIP that mRNA vaccines cause serious harm, including death,"
Robert F. Kennedy Jr. fired all 17 members of the CDC's advisory committee on immunization practices (ACIP) and replaced them with appointees who share anti-vaccine views and skepticism of mRNA COVID-19 vaccines. The CDC records show over 1.2 million COVID deaths, and 14,660 people have died of COVID as an underlying or contributing cause so far this year. Kennedy told a senator he did not know how many Americans had died of COVID and agreed with an appointee's claim that mRNA vaccines cause serious harm, despite numerous studies showing safety and effectiveness. FDA approved updated vaccines in late August and booster access may become harder.
