Many of the listed prices are higher than what 92% of the U.S. population now pays because they have insurance, and the site excludes low-cost generic drugs. People on government plans probably aren't eligible to use the discounts. Moreover, the money spent on TrumpRx can't be counted toward an annual deductible or out-of-pocket maximum. Where it might save money: some fertility or GLP-1 drugs not covered by insurers."

TrumpRx.gov is a direct-to-consumer platform listing 43 brand-name prescription drugs with varying discounts, partnering with platforms like GoodRx. Most listed prices are higher than what insured Americans pay, the site excludes low-cost generics, and government-plan enrollees are likely ineligible for discounts. Purchases through the platform do not count toward annual deductibles or out-of-pocket maximums. Savings may apply for certain fertility or GLP-1 medications that insurers often do not cover. The offering includes many off-patent or already-discounted drugs and omits several high-revenue biologics; Pfizer produces 31 of the 43 listed drugs.
