List of EPS Board Candidates for 2025/2026
"My name is Angel, I'm a seasoned engineer with more than 20 years experience designing and building software and web apps. My current role doesn't involve much coding these days, still Python and its community is where my heart is. ☺️ My first EuroPython was in Florence 2012 where I was blown away by the amazing people gathered around the conference and the language. It was like nothing I've ever experienced before and the energy was palpable ... I was hooked!"
"Since then I've attended many EuroPythons, I was board member for the 2020 edition (briefly), an active on-site volunteer in 2019 and 2023, and joined the awesome Sponsors team for Prague 2024. As a board member, one of my focus areas will be optimizing processes with the aim to make the organizing experience less stressful for the people involved, and whatever else is needed of me of course. Also bringing in positive vibes and fresh energy to every meeting. 🤩"
The General Assembly will vote on a new EuroPython Society board on Wednesday, December 17, 2025 at 20:00 CET. The EPS bylaws require one chair, one vice chair, and between two and seven board members. Six candidates have declared willingness to serve: Angel Ramboi, Aris, Artur Czepiel, Ege Akman, Mia Bajić, and Yulia Barabash. Angel is a software engineer with over twenty years experience, a long-term EuroPython attendee, former brief 2020 board member, on-site volunteer, and Prague 2024 Sponsors team member who prioritizes process optimization and positive energy. Aris is a geophysicist and data steward focused on sustainable, reproducible scientific coding and community involvement.
