"Reader can finally import and export feeds as OPML subscription lists. I initially wanted to use listparser, but ended up writing my own reader.opml module to keep dependencies down."
"For reader to be truly useful, it needs to reach all the way to the end user. I am making the web app for myself anyway, why not share it with others?"
"Remaining work to an MVP includes caching feeds, creating a public demo, and possibly a tutorial mode. Promotional efforts will focus on naming, launch announcements, and roadmaps."
Version 3.23 of reader, a Python feed reader library, introduces OPML support for importing and exporting feeds. A new multi-user web app is in development, aimed at making the library more accessible to end users. The web app includes email authentication and infrastructure deployments using pyinfra. Future plans involve caching feeds, creating a public demo, and possibly a tutorial mode. Promotional efforts will focus on naming, launch announcements, and roadmaps to enhance visibility and usability.
