Kanye West Sells His Wyoming Ranch Back to Its Former Owners for $14 Million
"As rumors of his financial woes mount, the rapper formerly known as Kanye West is dropping a multitude of properties from his real estate portfolio. Among the real estate Ye is shedding: his Bighorn Mountain Ranch in Greybull, Wyoming, which is going back to its former owners for $14 million, per the Wyoming publication Cowboy State Daily. The record of the sale was reportedly notarized last month in Zurich by West's wife, Bianca Censori, on his behalf."
"The Graduation hitmaker purchased the sprawling estate from Wyoming's Flitner family a few months after he snapped up another Wyoming ranch: a 3,885-acre property called the Monster Lake Ranch in Cody. For Monster Lake, West consulted with architect Claudio Silverstein and light artist James Turrell to build a self-sustaining creative hub he referred to as the "Yeezy Campus"-an affordable "Yecosystem" living quarters intended for the homeless."
Ye is surrendering multiple properties amid reported financial troubles, including Bighorn Mountain Ranch in Greybull, Wyoming, returning to its former owners for $14 million. The 1906-built estate borders national forest lands and includes walk-in saunas, heated helicopter pads, several lodges, and a five-bedroom, four-bathroom cabin. West purchased the 6,713-acre ranch in 2019 to host business and religious operations, including Sunday services, and described it as his "therapy ranch." He also acquired Monster Lake Ranch and planned a self-sustaining "Yeezy Campus" with affordable "Yecosystem" living quarters designed with Claudio Silverstein and James Turrell, intending to combine properties to manufacture Yeezy shoes.
