Reddit now supports translation of posts and comments into Hindi | TechCrunch
Briefly

Reddit is enhancing its user engagement in India by updating its machine translation feature to facilitate automatic translations of posts and comments into Hindi. This initiative, aimed at making content more accessible, follows the company's testing phase that began last year with French and expanded to include support for various languages. Additionally, Reddit has introduced an AI-powered search feature called Answers for users across multiple countries, including India, reflecting its commitment to increasing its focus and community presence in the region.
"With this expansion, authentic, more people-powered content is now accessible in one of India's most spoken languages," the company wrote in an update to a blog post.
"Reddit started testing the site-wide machine translation feature last May, beginning with French. In September, the company launched the feature in more than 35 countries, and added support for Spanish and Portuguese."
