"Every day as a Jewish Member of Congress is another day of receiving these types of threats. For those asking why is no one holding town halls? 'these are the people waiting for a planned event."
"Just for being a Jewish piece of sh*t who thinks they own the world, I hope some f*cking Arab motherf*cker jumps out of the bushes and cuts off your f*cking head."
"I'm disgusted and pissed off. We need to do more as a society to root out antisemitism. We're with you, Max."
Rep. Max Miller, a Jewish Republican member of Congress, publicly shared a death threat voicemail he received to highlight the persistent antisemitic harassment experienced by Jewish lawmakers. The threat included violent language targeting him for his religion. Miller explained that such threats prevent him from holding town halls, as dangerous individuals may be waiting at planned events. His post came shortly after a man drove an explosives-filled car into a Michigan synagogue and school, an attack the FBI identified as targeted violence against the Jewish community. House Majority Whip Tom Emmer responded with support, calling for society to do more to combat antisemitism. Miller had previously been targeted in a separate incident when a man allegedly threatened him and ran him off the road.
