Her background in culture, arts, and movement informs the way she approaches every space, infusing Oakland's new home for music, cocktails, and communication, Golden Ratio, with intention, creativity, and heart."

"Rowena J. Brown was sworn in as Oakland's At-Large City Councilmember in January 2025. She is a proud African American queer woman and lifelong East Bay resident, and her leadership is rooted in resilience, community, and justice. After losing both of her parents by age 17, Rowena transformed personal hardship into a lifelong commitment to public service."
Dennise Acio, rooted in Hawaiian spirit and aloha, brings twenty years of Bay Area hospitality leadership to Oakland's Golden Ratio venue and The White Horse Inn, infusing spaces with intentionality and creativity while uplifting queer communities. Sonya Brewer, a somatic psychotherapist and leadership mentor with sixteen years of experience, guides visionary leaders through trauma-informed work to reclaim wholeness and embody authentic leadership. Rowena J. Brown, sworn in as Oakland's At-Large City Councilmember in January 2025, channels personal resilience and community organizing expertise toward justice-centered public service, transforming childhood hardship into lifelong commitment to her East Bay community.
