The final concert of the Portland State University percussion ensemble featured student compositions alongside Lou Harrison's Suite for Violin and American Gamelan. The event, held at Lincoln Recital Hall, attracted a supportive audience comprised mainly of friends and family of the performers. The concert opened with the Percussion Techniques Cohort performing Traumatic Chromatic, which illustrated the roles of percussion instruments in a band. The student compositions were a collaboration between the Sonic Arts and Music Production Department and the Percussion Studio, integrating electronics and contemporary techniques, and were facilitated by Dr. Caroline Miller.
