District 4 candidates Alan Wong, Albert Chow, and Natalie Gee participated in a Thursday forum at the Outer Sunset's United Irish Cultural Center to compete for the seat vacated by Joel Engardio's recall. Wong, Mayor Lurie's appointee, attacked Gee for not supporting his ballot measure to restore cars on the Great Highway. Wong's initial effort to place the measure on the June ballot failed after he announced it only six days before the deadline, falling one Board of Supervisors vote short. He had expected support from Supervisor Shamann Walton, who declined. Gee, Walton's legislative aide, responded that the decision was her boss's responsibility, not hers.
