It had several unique and identifiable tattoos which were visible and not decomposed."

Ali's head was discovered on March 5 in Jamaica Bay Wildlife Refuge, and her torso was found on September 23, 2025, in Idlewild Park near JFK Airport by sanitation workers who detected a foul odor. Police recovered additional body parts during an extensive search. The Medical Examiner determined she was dismembered using straight-edge instruments such as a knife. Simboo was arrested on March 11 at the 116th Precinct stationhouse. The exact cause of death remained undetermined at the time of reporting.
