California woman rescued after getting stuck in chimney

A woman, approximately 30 years old, was rescued from a chimney in San Fernando on August 5 after becoming trapped about 3 feet down. The incident occurred in the chimney or exhaust flue on a municipal building at the City of San Fernando Recreation Center. Firefighters utilized a rope system to pull her out, as shown in video footage. She was subsequently secured to a gurney and lowered to the ground. An investigation is underway by the San Fernando Police Department to determine how she ended up in the chimney.
The woman, about 30 years old, became trapped about 3 feet down in the chimney atop a small municipal outbuilding at the City of San Fernando Recreation Center.
Fire personnel rescued her using a rope system, as video shows firefighters lifting her out of the chimney with a strap tied around her hands attached to a fire truck ladder.
After being pulled from the chimney, she was secured to a gurney and lowered to the ground by the ladder.
The San Fernando Police Department is investigating how the woman became trapped inside the chimney.
