Japan Week, held annually in San Francisco's Japantown from June 15-22, 2025, is a cultural festival that showcases Japanese arts. Visitors can immerse themselves in performances, including taiko drumming, awa odori dance, and karate, while also enjoying hands-on workshops like origami and shodo calligraphy. Highlighting community involvement, a special performance called Generations of Joy will feature children and seniors showcasing the skills they have learned. The week culminates on June 22 with additional festivities at the outdoor stage and various indoor events, bringing the community together to celebrate Japanese heritage.
