Woman In Viral Hayes Valley Bar Fight Video Was Arrested For Public Intoxication, Has Now Lost Job

We're now learning, as KRON4 reports, that the woman, whom the internet quickly identified as Strava employee Shireen Afkari, was arrested Saturday night for public intoxication. It's not clear if her date/boyfriend was arrested as well."

"We are aware of an employee who exhibited extremely concerning off-hours behavior," the company said. A viral Santacon weekend video shows an extremely intoxicated patron at Hazie's in Hayes Valley engaging in physical confrontations with staff and other patrons, being slammed to the ground, dragged outside while pulling a bartender by his hair, and ultimately tripping onto the sidewalk. The SFPD arrived at 9:41 pm and arrested the woman for public intoxication. Internet users identified her as Strava employee Shireen Afkari. Strava posted that the behavior was extremely concerning, stated it does not condone violence, and announced the employee's termination on Monday. TMZ also reported on the firing. It remains unclear whether her date was arrested.
