"This new facility is not just about providing rehabilitation services while patients are in treatment - it's about supporting them beyond their stay."
"The completed hospital will consist of amenities for patients including a gym, courtyard, gardens and transitional living apartment where patients can prepare to transition back home."
El Camino Health has initiated construction on a state-of-the-art rehabilitation facility in Sunnyvale, designed to support patients recovering from significant health issues like strokes and brain injuries. The new four-story structure will feature 52 rooms and will offer comprehensive rehabilitation services such as physical and occupational therapies, alongside specialized programs. Costing around $120 million, the facility is expected to open by spring 2027 and will include patient amenities like a gym and transitional living apartments, which aim to facilitate smoother transitions back to everyday life for recovering patients.
