Lindsey Vonn, skiing on torn ACL, crashes in Olympic downhill
"That definitely was the last thing we wanted to see,"
"She always goes 110 percent, there's never anything less, so I know she put her whole heart into it and sometimes things happen. It's a very dangerous sport."
"We're happy everyone's cheering for her and appreciate all the support,"
Lindsey Vonn crashed early in the Olympic downhill while racing on a badly injured left knee and was taken off the course by helicopter after receiving on-snow medical attention. Vonn lost control over the opening traverse after cutting the line too tight and was spun around in the air, screaming as medical personnel attended and strapped her to a gurney. The race was paused during treatment; teammate Breezy Johnson held the early lead. Family members, including her father Alan Kildow, and spectators such as Snoop Dogg watched as she was removed from the course. Family said she is being evaluated and will be met at the hospital.
