"I've done a couple of internships with businesses and find it fairly interesting. But I think right now at this point—where I'm at in my life now—it's hard to really be 100% committed to something like that. It's hard to envision myself doing that."
"As a person, you change a lot. And I think when the time comes where I'm competing less or skiing less, I think I'll have changed enough to where I'll have something else that I really want to do for a profession or in life. And I have plenty of hobbies."
Alex Hall, a 27-year-old Olympic slopestyle champion who won silver at Milan Cortina and gold in Beijing 2022, comes from a skiing family where both parents met on the slopes. Growing up, Hall was essentially raised on skis alongside his brother. While professional skiing careers typically decline in athletes' 30s, Hall has potential to compete at the 2030 French Alps Games. Rather than planning his post-Olympics career immediately, Hall believes his personal growth and evolving interests will naturally guide his next professional direction. He has explored business internships but finds full commitment difficult while actively competing. Hall maintains diverse hobbies including various sports, surfing, and video production, which he expects will inform his eventual career transition.
