Yeah, I cannot prepare. So I didn't know who the hell I was speaking to, but I walked in and saw this beautiful woman with the blonde hair."
"Kaillie was the star, a big star of the Olympics, and other Olympics also. And she's a six-time Olympic medalist. Think of that. She was prime, prime eight years ago, they said."
During a Women's History Month event at the White House, President Trump delivered unscripted remarks about Olympic bobsledder Kaillie Humphries, who was present in the audience. Trump explained he did not prepare for the event, stating he cannot prepare speeches as it prevents him from accomplishing other tasks. He recognized Humphries upon entering and praised her accomplishments, including her status as a six-time Olympic medalist with more gold medals than any other female bobsledder in history. Humphries presented Trump with The Order of Ikkos, an award given by Team USA medal-winning athletes to influential coaches or mentors. Trump also expressed enthusiasm about the recent Winter Olympics in Milan, celebrating the U.S. men's hockey team's victory over Canada and noting the women's team declined his State of the Union invitation.
