"When I got home, my roommate told me that you can rewind the Corbet' Couloir Webcam, so I indulged. What I discovered was a cornucopia of whipouts, lost skis, snowboard flails, ski patrollers having to rappel into the chute to extract skis, and very few people pulling it off."
On Friday the 13th in March 2026, a skier returned to Corbet's Couloir for the first time in nine years and witnessed numerous accidents and falls. Upon returning home, the skier learned about a webcam that records the couloir and discovered the ability to rewind footage. The archived video revealed extensive documentation of skiing failures, including lost equipment, snowboarders falling, ski patrollers rappelling to retrieve skis, and relatively few successful descents. The skier found entertainment and satisfaction in observing these moments of failure captured by the webcam.
