Killington Resort launched the Community Mountain Support Fund, a $200,000 initiative designed to support small community ski areas across the Northeast with critical infrastructure improvements. The fund addresses essential operational needs including lift maintenance and repairs, guest experience improvements, snowmaking infrastructure, grooming equipment, and mountain operations upgrades. Small ski areas serve as crucial entry points for new skiers and riders, providing affordable access and youth programs while training future participants. Killington recognizes that many skiers begin their journey at smaller mountains before advancing to larger resorts. The fund is administered through the Killington World Cup Foundation, with primary funding from gondola cabin auction proceeds and additional contributions from the Foundation itself.
