"The reservation system will give skiers and riders more confidence that a parking spot will be waiting for them before they even leave home, helping reduce the uncertainty that can come with busy weekend and holiday visits."
"Parking reservations will be free for Sierra-at-Tahoe passholders and for vehicles carrying four or more people. The resort said the move came after feedback from both guests and locals, intending to reduce traffic impacts and lower carbon emissions by encouraging carpooling."
"Sierra-at-Tahoe's new parking reservation system reflects a growing industry trend. For Sierra, the change appears designed to balance convenience for guests with quality of life concerns in the surrounding region, while rewarding passholders and carpoolers in the process."
Sierra-at-Tahoe will introduce a parking reservation system for weekends and holidays starting in the 2026-27 season. Free reservations are available for season passholders and vehicles with four or more occupants. The system aims to provide parking certainty for visitors, reduce traffic congestion, and lower carbon emissions by encouraging carpooling. The resort launched 2026-27 season passes starting at $339, with early-bird discounts available until April 30. Current passholders can save up to $50 on renewals by that date. New passes are valid immediately this spring through closing day, allowing passholders extended access to the mountain.
