"The investment allows us to strengthen every area of the club, from the first team to our infrastructure, academy and community work, while crucially protecting the values and identity that make Kelty Hearts what it is. Retaining a meaningful local shareholding was essential to us and this partnership ensures the club remains rooted in the community while benefiting from new ideas, ambition and long-term support."
"The agreement secures the club's future and gives us the platform we need to plan with confidence for the years ahead."
"a proud, community-based club with a passionate fanbase"
Kelty Hearts will be 80% owned by Hearts Football LLC, led by American investor Jordan Gardner, with the outgoing board retaining 20% through a company. The acquisition aims to provide funding to strengthen the first team, infrastructure, academy and community work while protecting the club's values and local shareholding. Kelty is based in a former mining town in Fife of about 6,000 people and currently sits bottom of Scottish League One. Gardner previously chaired Danish club Helsingor, helped secure promotion to the second tier, and has held stakes in Swansea City and Dundalk.
