Afghanistan's women's national football team will play its first official match since 2021 in Morocco after FIFA relocated the "FIFA Unites: Women's Series" from the United Arab Emirates. The relocation followed denial of visas to Afghan players by UAE authorities. Matches were postponed from October 23 to October 26, creating a tight window for travel, acclimatization and training. Chad and Libya are confirmed participants; a fourth team and the match schedule remain unannounced. Morocco is concurrently hosting the FIFA under-17 Women's World Cup, causing tournament overlap. The Afghan squad in Morocco will be the first time the team plays together since exile in 2021.
