Forest sign Man City keeper Ortega
"Stefan arrives here with fantastic experience and a winning mentality, having been part of such a successful team for the past few seasons,"
"When it became clear the goalkeeper position was somewhere we needed to address, Stefan stood out straight away."
"He will provide great competition for our group of goalkeepers, and will help the team on and off the pitch."
Nottingham Forest have signed Manchester City goalkeeper Stefan Ortega, 33, on a deal worth up to 500,000 after his City contract expires this summer. Ortega has been third-choice at the Etihad behind Gianluigi Donnarumma and James Trafford and has not played for Pep Guardiola's side this season. Forest pursued Ortega after a knee injury ruled John Victor out for the remainder of the season. Edu Gaspar said Ortega brings experience, a winning mentality and will provide strong competition for the goalkeepers. Ortega has played 56 games for City since 2022, including 22 last season, and helped win the 2024 Premier League title.
