Aaron Ramsey signed a one-year deal with Pumas UNAM on July 1 but struggled with injuries and appeared in only six matches, scoring one goal. He missed league games and multiple practices while searching for his lost dog Haley, which went missing after being left at a dog shelter in Dolores, Guanajuato. Ramsey returned to the team for rehabilitation, then flew back to Europe after his contract was terminated unexpectedly. Ramsey thanked Mexican fans and club medical staff for their support. Pumas did not respond to his social media statements and dismissed the officials who signed him.
