Michael Bradley will take over as head coach of the New York Red Bulls after managing New York Red Bulls II to the 2025 MLS NEXT Pro championship. Bradley began with the club's MLS NEXT Pro side six months earlier in his first professional head coaching role. The club plans a squad refresh, including searching for a new goalkeeper following Carlos Coronel's departure. Designated Players Emil Forsberg and Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting will remain core roster pieces while a third DP spot could be filled during the winter transfer window. Bradley retired after the 2023 season and began coaching as an assistant at Stabæk in 2023.
