Altan is a Barcelona-based startup founded in 2023 that assembles teams of AI agents to autonomously create and operate software from text or voice prompts. Agent teams include roles such as UX designers and full-stack engineers that build internal databases and manage backend automations. Altan reports around 25,000 users, including companies and non-technical founders, and offers a subscription plan starting at about $25 per month. The company raised $2.5 million in a pre-seed round led by VentureFriends and JME Ventures, with participation from 4Founders Ventures, Carles Reina, and angel investors. Use cases include generating custom restaurant reservation and inventory systems in hours.
