China Shows Off Armed Attack Robots
Briefly

China is rapidly advancing its technological capabilities, showcasing innovations such as levitating bullet trains and supercomputer networks. Among these developments is the creation of 'robot wolves' for military use, revealed in a recent video series by state broadcaster CCTV. These robots, designed for combat rather than reconnaissance like robot dogs, can navigate challenging terrain and conduct precision attacks from considerable distances. The innovation represents a strategic enhancement of the People's Liberation Army's capabilities and indicates China's commitment to advancing its military technology.
The Chinese state broadcaster CCTV recently showcased newly developed 'robot wolves' equipped with combat rifles in simulated combat drills, working alongside PLA soldiers.
The distinct robot wolves differ from robot combat dogs, which are designed for reconnaissance, while the wolves are specifically intended for combat scenarios.
These remote-controlled robot wolves can navigate various terrains and are capable of carrying out precision strikes from up to 100 meters away.
Development of the robo-wolves was first teased at the China International Aviation and Aerospace Exhibition in November 2024, highlighting rapid advancements in Chinese robotics.
