T-Mobile's T-Satellite service is now officially available in most outdoor areas of the US, marking it as one of the first networks to provide commercial satellite communications for standard mobile devices. The service is primarily focused on enabling text messaging and location sharing for users out of cell tower range. Although it has been reported to work well in various conditions on specific models like the Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra, users will need compatible devices. Currently, it operates through a partnership with Starlink under a framework known as supplementary coverage from space (SCS).
T-Mobile's T-Satellite service is now available across most outdoor areas in the US, providing connectivity when out of reach of cell towers.
The service currently offers limited capabilities, including text messages and location information, compatible with around 60 smartphone models such as Samsung and Google.
