Jenna Bush Hager’s children—Mila, 12; Poppy, 10; and Hal, 6—posed for a back-to-school photo holding colorful flags indicating 7th grade, 4th grade and kindergarten. Jenna said the kids had "such a good day" and noted parental disappointment at missing the first day, while emphasizing that children are resilient. Hal reported kindergarten "was so different than Pre-K" and "so much harder," and Mila already received homework with seventh grade feeling challenging. The family recently returned from an end-of-summer trip to Rome. Last year Hal played a Day One prank about being sent to the principal for squirting applesauce.
