"A new generation of Marvel heroes battle against an ever-spreading zombie scourge. That's the premise of a brand new, horror-infused series for mature audiences only. "Marvel Zombies" is the first Marvel Studios animated series to receive a TV-MA rating. "It's a big, giant, epic quest story," says Brad Winderbaum, the Executive Producer and Head of TV, Streaming, and Animation for Marvel Studios. "What you see on screen is these characters gathering and disintegrating as they try to survive this crazy zombie world.""
""We made a zombies episode of 'What If...?' back in the day, and immediately Bryan and I were like, 'Okay, we have to low key start developing a spin-off because there's so much more to tell here," Winderbaum says. These Marvel masterminds reassembled their Avengers in the voiceover booth, including Francis Pugh, Elizabeth Olsen, Paul Rudd, and other stars across the Marvel universe. "Everyone had a blast," says Bryan Andrews, the Director/Executive Producer/Writer of "Marvel Zombies." "It was really fun. They got to cut loose.""
A new generation of Marvel heroes fights an ever-spreading zombie scourge in Marvel Zombies, a horror-infused, TV‑MA animated series. The series originated from a zombies episode of What If...? and expanded into a four-part event to explore more storylines. Established Marvel voice talent, including Francis Pugh, Elizabeth Olsen, and Paul Rudd, reunited to voice characters in a more unrestrained, graphic format. The creators intentionally embraced mature content and creative freedom to show characters outside PG‑13 limits. All four episodes premiere exclusively on Disney+ on September 24.
