Some of the biggest names in the sport are featured in ESPN's five-episode series called On the Edge: World Cup Ski Racing, which starts Friday with three segments."
"The last episode in the series, titled The World's Stage, will air on April 10 and focus on Swiss racer Camille Rast as she reflects on the fatal fire in a bar in the ski resort Crans-Montana during a New Year's celebration. That particular episode will also look back at the Olympics and how the 41-year-old Vonn, who returned to the circuit after a partial knee replacement, and others performed."
ESPN produced a five-episode docuseries On the Edge: World Cup Ski Racing that provides behind-the-scenes access to World Cup athletes. The series features top competitors including Mikaela Shiffrin, Lindsey Vonn, Marco Odermatt and Lucas Pinheiro Braathen. Episode one highlights Shiffrin and her fiance Aleksander Aamodt Kilde supporting each other after severe injuries. The final episode, The World's Stage, focuses on Camille Rast reflecting on a fatal bar fire in Crans-Montana and revisits Olympic performances, including Vonn's return after a partial knee replacement. U.S. Ski & Snowboard leadership hopes the series will expand the sport’s reach and inspire youth participation.
