The Studio Has to Thank All the Executives
""I so could not wrap my head around this happening that I literally prepared nothing," the show's creator and star Seth Rogen said in his acceptance speech for Best Actor in a Comedy Series. "I've never won anything in my life. When I was a kid I bought a used bowling trophy at an estate sale, and my parents were like, yeah, that's a good idea. You should probably buy that.""
"Accepting the award for Outstanding Directing of a Comedy Series, Rogen added "The way that we make this show, everyone really has to come together in sort of a glorious passion, so thank you all for your hard work. This would not be possible without all of you." The only categories that The Studio faltered in were the Supporting Actor/Actress in a Comedy categories."
The Studio earned a record 13 Emmy Awards for a single season of a comedy, surpassing The Bear. Nine awards were won at the Creative Arts Emmy Awards ahead of the Primetime telecast. The show took Outstanding Comedy Series and multiple honors for writing, directing, and acting. Seth Rogen expressed surprise and gratitude, thanking viewers, voters, executives and the cast and crew, and shared a childhood anecdote about a bought bowling trophy upon winning Best Actor. Rogen also credited the collaborative passion behind the show when accepting the directing honor. The show did not win in the supporting acting categories.
