Well, That Sucks
"Kyle actually made it to the top of the ramp without getting injured. Colby was the last one down on the ground for the Vatu tribe, but when he could not get up, Kyle went back down to help Colby up and then tried to make the leap himself, with terrible consequences."
"I just hope that one of you guys take this freaking thing. I love you guys."
Kyle Fraser, the returning winner from Survivor 48, was forced to leave Survivor 50 during the season premiere after injuring his leg in the first immunity challenge. While attempting to climb a wall, Kyle hurt himself and despite initial rest and mobility improvement, the medical team determined he likely tore his ACL and pulled him from competition. His departure devastated his strong alliance with fellow returning players Genevieve Mushaluk, Colby Donaldson, and Stephenie LaGrossa. Additional footage revealed Kyle's injury occurred while helping Colby up after Colby struggled, making the incident particularly tragic as it resulted from an act of assistance rather than his own challenge attempt.
