Blue Jays break another record set during World Series years

In his first pinch hit at-bat in the bottom of the eighth in singled in Ernie Clement to get the Blue Jays to within a run, making it 3-2 Orioles."

"When the Blue Jays reached 50 wins, it was quicker than any other time in franchise history they got to that mark since 1992. They reached the 50 win plateau just 88 games into the season. When they reached the All-Star break they were 54-38, the most wins before the All-Star break since the '92 Jays went 53-34 before the midsummer classic."
