Free flu and COVID-19 shots will be available at participating pharmacies, some public health units and doctor's offices starting Oct. 27. COVID-19 vaccines for high-risk and priority groups begin the week of Sept. 22, with flu vaccines for those same groups beginning the week of Sept. 29. High-risk and priority groups include hospitalized patients, hospital staff, residents and staff in long-term care and retirement homes and other congregate settings, and individuals aged 65 or older. Ontarians are advised to receive the most recent COVID-19 formulation recommended by NACI. RSV vaccines will be available Sept. 22 for adults aged 60–74 with qualifying risk factors and for those 75 and older. Eligible infants and high-risk children up to 24 months will be included by early October.
