"Provincial police say a 14-year-old is dead following a two-vehicle collision in Oxford County, Ont., Saturday. In a news release Saturday, Ontario Provincial Police said officers responded to reports of a collision between a snowmobile and a pickup truck in the area of Road 92 and 23rd Line in the Zorra township shortly after 10:30 a.m. The 14-year-old snowmobile operator was transported to hospital where he later succumbed to his injuries, the OPP said."
"No other injuries were reported. In a social media post Saturday morning, provincial police said Road 92 was closed between 19th Line and 23rd Line. In Saturday's release, the OPP said Road 92 will remain closed between 19th Line and 23rd Line for "several hours" while the investigation is ongoing. Anyone with information is asked to contact police."
The collision occurred in Oxford County on Saturday morning. Ontario Provincial Police responded to reports of a collision between a snowmobile and a pickup truck near Road 92 and 23rd Line in Zorra township shortly after 10:30 a.m. A 14-year-old snowmobile operator was transported to hospital and later succumbed to his injuries. No other injuries were reported. Road 92 was closed between 19th Line and 23rd Line and will remain closed for several hours while investigators attend the scene. Police asked anyone with information to contact them as the investigation continues.
