"In the last two days, the Blue Jays announced some major changes that are affecting their starting rotation. On Friday, following their game in Kansas City, Manager John Schneider announced that Opening Day starter José Berrios will be moving to the bullpen until the end of the season. Berrios has struggled to provide any consistency over the last month and Schneider says it was a difficult decision, but one they felt was necessary at this time of the year."

Trey Yesavage gets another start in Kansas City after an impressive MLB debut in Tampa Bay. The 22-year-old now has an extended audition for a potential postseason rotation spot. José Berrios will move to the bullpen until season's end after recent inconsistency. Chris Bassitt was placed on the 15-day IL with back inflammation, reducing the rotation to four starters: Max Scherzer, Kevin Gausman, Shane Bieber and Yesavage. The immediate rotation schedule lists Bieber, Yesavage, an off day, Gausman, Scherzer and Bieber. Bassitt is expected to return just before the ALDS but may not be playoff-ready.
