"A dirty play. The league will obviously look at and see what the suspension will be or whatever. We should've had four guys in there doing something about it, but it didn't happen. But I thought they responded in the third. It was a good response there, but we all would've liked everybody to get in there right away."
The Toronto Maple Leafs prepare to resume their season against the Buffalo Sabres on Saturday with significant lineup adjustments. A new first line combines Matias Maccelli, John Tavares, and William Nylander, while Max Domi centers Matthew Knies and Easton Cowan on the second line. Dakota Joshua returns to the lineup on the third line with Bo Groulx and Nick Robertson, and Michael Pezzetta receives his second opportunity alongside Jacob Quillan and Calle Jarnkrok. Goaltender Joseph Woll is projected to start, making his third consecutive appearance after recording 40 saves in Thursday's 6-4 victory over Anaheim. Woll maintains a .905 save percentage and 3.13 goals-against average through 30 games this season. Steven Lorentz and Troy Stecher remain scratched.
