Liverpool Street station to close for 8-days over Christmas
"Network Rail says that Liverpool Street station will be closed for eight days - from the close of business on Christmas Eve through to reopening on Friday 2nd January. During the closure, engineering work to take place to strengthen the Bishopsgate tunnel on the approach to the station. This work includes installing steel support girders inside the tunnel and repairing existing steelwork to prevent corrosion."
"High above the public concourse area and platforms 1-10, work on the roof renewal programme will continue to replace panels, allowing more light into the station, improve the drainage system, and renew seals to make the roof more resilient to more frequent and intense storms. During the station closure, Greater Anglia services on the Great Eastern and West Anglia mainlines will run to/from Stratford including Stansted Express services."

London Overground Weaver line services will operate between Chingford, Enfield Town, Cheshunt and London Fields, and c2c trains will be amended to run to and from Fenchurch Street via West Ham.
