"A new "Blue Sky" loyalty program partnership between United Airlines and JetBlue finally took effect this week; it was announced last spring and approved by the Transportation Department in the summer. Members of JetBlue's TrueBlue program and United's MileagePlus can now earn and spend miles across both airlines' networks. To earn miles, points and tiles, TrueBlue flyers should enter their loyalty program number when booking United flights on United.com; MileagePlus members should do the same when booking JetBlue flights on JetBlue.com."
United and JetBlue launched a reciprocal loyalty partnership enabling TrueBlue and MileagePlus members to earn and redeem points across both carriers, with reciprocal perks set to expand early next year. Southwest introduced free in-flight Wi-Fi. Alaska increased California schedules, and United announced an intra-California SFO route for next spring while Frontier dropped Palm Springs, including SFO flights. United started two new Southeast Asia services from Los Angeles. International route changes involved Lufthansa, Asiana, Air Canada, Delta, and Hawaiian. Delta added mobile app features. American plans a mid-tier credit card and new coffee brand. LAX reconfigured terminals and Oakland launched a travel-planning website feature.
