The best airport in London is adding more flights to European holiday destinations
"'We're excited to expand our winter schedule with British Airways, offering even more options for passengers seeking city escapes, ski adventures, or winter sun,' said Andrew Hodges, chief commercial officer at London City Airport. 'The launch of Madrid and the return of popular ski routes are a clear response to growing demand for leisure travel from London City. 'With existing capacity available, we're actively in discussions with both new and existing airlines to broaden our network and unlock more destinations for our passengers.'"
"From December 1 2025, London City Airport (LCY) will launch flights to Madrid that will operate 11 times per week. Each flight will be able to carry up to 106 passengers in a single-class layout. As well as new flights to the Spanish capital, LCY will bring back its services to Innsbruck that will operate throughout the peak winter period."
London City Airport will add and reinstate several European winter routes, including a new service to Madrid from December 1, 2025 operating 11 times weekly. Each Madrid flight will carry up to 106 passengers in a single-class layout. Seasonal ski services to Innsbruck will operate throughout the peak winter period, while Geneva and Chambery will return for the typical ski season from early December to mid-April. Regular services to San Sebastian and Ibiza will continue through the colder months. The airport is expanding capacity with British Airways and is in discussions with new and existing airlines to broaden its network and unlock more destinations for passengers.
